Before college approaches, I have been building up my wardrobe. I have done a lot of online purchases recently and I thought it would be fun to share what I have ordered and then once it comes in do a review of the items and take pictures of them on me!

Old Navy

I have never really shopped much here, but I recently went in and found some amazing shorts.

I went online and bought some shorts, a skirt, and shower shoes (for communal bathrooms...gross right?)

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Haul+ new obsession!

If you have been reading fashion blogs and looking at Instagram lately, you have probably been seeing A LOT of Nordstrom Sale posts and people's personal picks!! Today, instead of showing you my absolute favorites from the sale... I'm going to show you what I actually bought. Of course, I would love a Tory Burch bag or pair of Tory Burch boots, but I bought what I really needed and loved. Let's get into my purchases:

1. Jeans
My wardrobe is transitioning right now! I wore a uniform everyday during high school (not so cute!), so now I'm left with literally 2 pairs of blue jeans. So I thought buying nice jeans while they are on sale and FIT would be a good idea. Plus, Finding jeans that fit my big thighs/butt and proportionally  small waist is always hard. I swear I had a sisterhood of the traveling pants moment....every pair of jeans I tried on fit. I bought 3 pairs of the 'Reese' Jean and one of each of the other pairs!

Halogen Distressed Girlfriend Jeans (reg. 74) // Kut from the Kloth 'Reese' Stretch Straight Leg Ankle Jeans (Encouraging) (reg. 79.50) // Wit & Wisdom 'Super Smooth' Stretch Denim Skinny Jeans (Dark Navy) (reg. 64)

Size & Fit Guide- My Experience:
Halogen Distressed Girlfriend Jeans- I sized about 2 sizes down!! They fit perfectly though!
Kut from the Kloth 'Reese'- I sized one size down from my usual size.
Wit & Wisdom 'Super Smooth'- True to size (for me)!

2. Boots
Love the price and the looks of my NEW Naturalizer all leather boots!
Naturalizer 'Jennings' Knee High Boot (available in brown & wide calf too!) (HERE)
Wide Calf (HERE

3. Rainjacket- (this wasn't on sale BUT I thought the price was great)

My NEW OBSSESSION IS Ebates!! It's a cash back program for online shopping! Of course, I had heard about places like this before (personally always thought they were sketchy), but I was watching a youtuber who was like "if you shop online you HAVE to use this". So I checked it out and next thing you know I have a $25+ check in my mailbox...pretty easy way to get money...even though let's not forget you had to spend some to get it haha! I just thought I'd share the link (HERE)! If you online shop ALL the time like me (i seriously need help haha) you have to check it out!!

NatureBox Unboxing: A Monthly Food Subscription Service

Hi Happy Thursday :) Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Today, I'm going to unbox a package I recently received in the mail. Naturebox has been all the rage on Youtube, blogs, etc. So I'll try not to bore you will a lot of facts about Naturebox, but it is a monthly subscription snack service ($19.95 for 5 full sized snacks). You can also receive a free trial offer and pay only $2.99 for 1 full sized bag and 4 snack size bags. These snacks contain  NO hydrogenated oils, NO added sugars, NO high fructose corn syrup.
I received my trial box about a month ago and loved it, so I renewed! The following pictures are from my most recent box.

Here is a link to their site: naturebox.com

btw I'm not sponsored by Naturebox (i wish haha) I just really love their boxes!!
Here is the unboxing of my full-size snacks:

Italian Bistro Pretzels- Love these!! Tastes like pizza...is that weird to say? But they are so freaking delicious!
Kung Pao Pretzels- probably my least favorite at first...they do grow on you, but they are seriously spicy. If you love that, then you'll probably love these!
Masa Crisps- AHHH! My ABSOLUTE FAV!! Delicious isn't even an adequate word to describe these little chips. I got these in my sample box and fell in love.
Lemon Tea Biscuits- I can barely taste the lemon flavor, but I like them. These taste like little shortbread cookies.
Asiago & Cheddar Cheese Crisps- I was most apprehensive about these, because I've never been a huge fan of cheese crisps. My mind was changed when I tasted these. They literally taste like Cheez-its. So good and so healthy!!
Hopefully you enjoyed my little unboxing!!

Crowd Favorite Dessert: S'mores Cookie

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
Disclaimer: This is NOT my original recipe and it's obviously all over Pinterest and the Internet! So I'm not trying to pass it off as a new recipe haha :) But I thought I'd share my favorite thing to make for parties!

What You'll Need:

Toll House Cookie Dough (you could make your own cookie dough, but I'm lazy and did not this time)
Mini Marshmellows
Graham Crackers
Mini Hershey Chocolate Bars

Steps:
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit.
Place Graham Cracker squares on a foiled cookie sheet.
Put 1-2 Marshmallows inside your cookie dough ball.
Place cookie dough on graham crackers.
Place in oven for 10-11 minutes.
Take out of oven and place a Mini Hershey bar on top.
Place back in oven for an additional 1-2 minutes (until your piece of chocolate on the top has melted a little bit)
Take out of the oven, let cool (or not, if you are like me and can't wait to try one) and Enjoy!!

This took me only about 20 minutes from start to finish (probably because I didn't make any of my ingredients haha!) My point is that everyone loves this dessert and its quick and easy.

My Top 9 College Orientation Tips

I've thought multiple times about writing a post on dorm room essentials or things you must bring to college, but since I don't have any actual experience in a dorm yet...who would I be to give advice? Something I have experienced and can give advice on is college freshmen orientation! I just got back from my freshman college orientation! It went so well! I was so afraid that I was not going meet any new friends, but I met several sweet girls and we hung out for hours during the student part!

My Tips on Making Friends:

1. Put your cellphone away.
I had to constantly remind myself to put mine up! It is the easiest thing to pull out when you are bored/uncomfortable. If you seem available to talk...people will talk to you.

2. Sit at big tables.
At my orientation, we all ate lunch at a specific dining hall. This was great way to meet people. My mom and I were tempted to sit at a small booth, but instead we sat at a big table so that hopefully other people would join us and we could get to know them and of course people came!

3. Sit in the middle of the aisle NOT on the aisle.
This is similar to Tip #2. I attended a lot of meetings in lecture halls with "movie theatre like seating" (for the lack of a better way to describe it haha).  The idea is to have people sitting on both sides of you and hopefully you'll leave the session with a friend or two!

4. Smile!
If you have a perpetual frown on your face, you might seem unapproachable. Try and smile and you'll attract friendly faces to you.

5. Attend all the events
This may be a no brainer, but I really wanted to skip the student part (where we separated from our parents haha). All day it seemed like no one was approachable and I only talked to like three girls with my mom. I was discouraged and so nervous that not only would I not make friends at the student-only part BUT I'd be completely alone. So, I get to the student-only session and dinner and I met like 5 girls! We hung out the whole night, exchanged numbers, and followed each other on social media! I couldn't be more happier with how my orientation turned out. Bottom line:You want to give yourself every chance you have to meet people and make friends.

6. Be Friends with Everybody and Anybody
Its not high school anymore. You don't have to worry about crossing clique lines. I hated how high school was and I've always been accepting of any person who wanted to be my friend (because HELLO none of us are better than anyone else). A friend is a friend...it doesn't matter if y'all are different than each other. If you can carry on a fun conversation and they are kind....they are a friend!

My Tips in General:

7. Figure out stuff.
By "stuff", I mean see if you can tour your dorm room, figure out what's the best meal plan, the best library on campus, and where you'll park. It's better to figure this stuff out at orientation than during your first week. Also, if you have your semester schedule try test walking to your classes; this will help you know where the buildings are and how long it will take you to get from place to place.

8. Tour the town.
Know where the best place is to get a spray tan, groceries, dry cleaning, a good dinner, etc. You'll feel more confident in the new setting of college, if you know where to go.

9. Go buy your textbooks.
Once you have your schedule, you should have a list of required materials and textbooks for your classes. As many know, college textbooks are expensive and going the used book path is usually the thriftiest option.  My university's bookstore sells the used books in store and online, BUT ONLY in store can you guarantee that you'll pick the "newest-looking" used book. You will have no idea if you order a used book (unless there are pictures) what condition it is in.
*Always check on Amazon or websites like SlugBooks for cheaper prices too! Sometimes the bookstore is the pricier option.

I hope this was able to help at least one person! It was probably boring to anyone who isn't an incoming college freshmen lol. If you are an incoming college freshman, you'll do great at orientation and meet plenty of nice, fun people :)

Travel Diary: Northern Nevada and California Cities

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is doing well :)
Here are some pictures of little towns and old mining cities, I visited on my recent trip to California and Nevada!

Actual Wild Horses... I thought this was cool because I had never seen them before and honestly didn't know they still existed!!

If you have ever seen the movie The Christmas Card, this is the town and cafe that they ate at in the movie!!

These little towns were full of charm, tourist traps, and candy stores! I hope you all enjoy these pictures from my adventure through California and Nevada.
